Rene Marie Russo has been a supermodel, actress and filmmaker in the United States. Rene Marie Russo is an American actor, film maker and ex-supermodel. She is known for her elegance beauty. Her longevity in a competitive and crowded industry is a testament to her talents and abilities as an actor. When she was a model in her early years, she first began modeling in the 70s. Then she became a household name in the field of modeling. From the 80s onwards, she took classes in acting and theater before appearing on stage in Los Angeles. Her first screen appearance was in ABCs 1989 drama Sable in which she was Eden Kendell. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest the following year in Major League, her debut movie. Some critics who were initially skeptical of her performance skills but eventually redeemed themselves by her continuous work. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her in and then she became a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. Since joining the UFC She has become a household name due to her success in and out of the octagon. Namajunas was born on June 29 on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrant family. Rose participated in sports such as basketball and kickeboxing when she was growing up. Her first appearance in professional competition aged 18 at the Invicta Fighting Championships, where she was able to win two matches by submission. Dana White noticed this and in December 2014, aged 22 she signed her to fight as a strawweight in the UFC. Rose has experienced highs and lows in her career, yet she always emerges triumphant. In April 2015 Rose fought Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale which she took by a technical knockout less than 3 minutes in Round One which resulted in not only winning the title but also being named Fighter Of The Night along and making history in MMA since this match was the first time ever that a women had fought for the title of champion in any of the major promotions worldwide . Namajunas won several fights following this one, and was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC for her victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
